I know what ya mean. I used to walk a Ft. Ancient site and every time that I walked it I would leave with ten broken triangles. In fact you would also find broken celts by the bucketfull. Literally. Now show us the complete points!

There is one black one that has been reworked into a drill. if you look closely you will see it slightly to the left of the center.

I like the picture flintdigger. With a little imagination, it looks like a flock of birds. Wouldn't be heartbreakers to me,

I am not certain when most of the points in this site were broken, but you can tell most are old breaks. I have talked to several old timers around here that found broken stuff there when they were kid's and a few said their fathers found things there when they were young, funny thing is no one can ever remember it being s plowed field it has alway's been pasture land.

    Procedure :

    Return to village after hunt.

Remove broken points from arrows used.

    Replace same with new ones.

Discard broken ones for arrowhead collectors to find.

Not bad thinking, I have thought the same thing also. Sort of like a friend of mine that found 14 broken spear bases in about a 12 - 15 fT area and no points to be found.
