    10/30 Finds

I found this small Dalton yesterday. I thought it was a Woodland/Mississippian triangle until I noticed the ground hafted area and slight shoulders. It's really thin and is a pretty well made point. Picked up a small ovate piece and another kind of crude Dalton I think and some heartbreakers. H.H.

Easy to see the grinding on that one. Very nice. Would love to have seen what that last one looked like. Nice hunt!

Very nice point Th3rty7. Old points in that condition are tough to come by.

Nice finds and thanks for sharing. I can't figure out why the Dalton artifacts don't show up in SWPA.

Appreciate the comments Rich. It's strange how they can show up in isolated pockets along rivers and creeks. I've got some Dalton stuff from eastern Pa. that was found along the Susquehanna river.

To answer your question about a point in my 10/16 thread, I believe that is an earlier point because of the ground hafted area and parallel flaking.

Appreciate the feedback Twitch, Americus, and Catherine, good luck out there folks.
