So my friend came down this weekend, we had a short hunt. When he left, he had givin this piece to me, i asked over and over are you sure are you sure
Im still in shock over this lol and i have probally picked it up 20 times already. One side exhibits a full flute, and the other side exhibits multiple strikes, the grinding is very pronounced on this one. pics arn't the greatest cause when i snapped them it was poor lighting.
    found in West Texas

I would agree on the type ...how many people are lucky enough to have a Clovis given to them!

That piece was purchased by me from a Arkansas collector. It was found in NW Texas. Made of Edwards and is 100% intact. It was papered by Williams and looked at by Taylor. Both stated that it was a nice piece. I eventually sold it due to financial issues, but it solved the problems. It was by far the nicest piece I have ever had the pleasure of owning.....................

According to what I was told it was found about 60miles southeast of the Blackwater draw site. It was purchased from the finder by the collector and then ended up in my hands. Still wish I had it it was beautiful.

Awesome that he gave it to you. I would send that piece off to be restored. When I finally got the Folsom paid off, he sent it out and called me up, said it was on the way and told me he tossed one in that he found in his "Rock-box". I love that saying like I have enough artifacts to toss them in to a Rock-box. People must have good sites like that though. I told him thank you and waited. When I got it, the Folsom had already been authenticated by Williams, but I wanted Taylor's opinion as well. So I sent it to him and got the same opinion that Williams gave. As I looked in the box there was another wrapped item, I opened it and sure enough a perfect Clovis. I was a little leary on this so I sent it out to Davis to have it authenticated. It came back with a G-8 paper with it, stating authenticity. When I sold that I got some of my money back for the Folsom. So it was a added bonus that was very appreciated and expressed to the seller.
