    "Bowl"ing anyone?

Here are 4 of my granite grinding bowls I've found in the field that never fails.
I have quite a few more but they are not unpacked from our move yet.

    Have a look!

Thanks and keep your eyes on the ground!

    Thanks Chuck!

I found a few before I could drive. So the 3/4 mile trek off of the illinois bluff's seemed a lot longer carrying these 50lb chunks of granite.
    Totally worth it tho!

I really like the oblong shape. The ones that I find are ground out round for nuts. What do you think they were grinding with those?? Yeah I have humped many out and also left a few behind they were so far back in there. Thanks for sharin.

those are very cool!! looks like they were used for a good while. heres a couple ive found. neither are as deep as yours. the bigger one is about 3/8 of an inch deep and the smaller one is about 1/4 of an inch deep. the bigger one fits in ur lap very nicely, the smaller one has been used on both sides. wouldnt even consider mine bowls, more like grinding stones. thanks for sharing. those are sweeet!
