    A local good 'un

I was finally able to talk guy out of this piece last weekend at Collinsville and went down and picked it up last weekend. It was found in Drury Township in Rock Island County, Illinois and I know the farm where it was picked up. I'm not real positive on the type but the base is heavily thinned and sides are heavily ground about 1/3 the length. It may be a real early stage Pike County or something else early.

Also, I picked up the axe while I was at Collinsville. It's from Atchison County, Mo and I liked the way the pics shows the style so I figured I would post 'em. Nice greenish color on that piece of stone too.
