Vermont Cornfield Finds

I checked to see if any of my favorite cornfields had been plowed and was disapointed to find that they were not. Heavy rains in the month of May have delayed the plowing and planting here in central Vt. I decided to look a unplowed field that had I looked two weeks ago and found that the rains gave it a good wash. I searched it for a couple of hours and here is what I found. Nothing great but it will keep me going until some of the fields get turned up. Right now most are mud holes.

pretty good finds, the rains have us swamped here also and its raining again , i havent found one field in my area that has been worked they are still corn stubble
