    6-3-2011 find

    hunted a field yesterday that was still in corn stubble from last year and found this archaic point, the closest i can get on an id is tapered stem bifurcate, i've never seen a blade like this one the sides of the base are beveled . any body got any ideas ?

    Not sure on the point type, but I know that's one nice looking find!

    not a snyder its covered with pressure flaking and has some serrations

    That is a smoking piece!According to converse its a broadblade point,middle archiac.Thx for the look

    i thought broadblade also but the base doesn't fit,it constricts in towards the base not flared out on the base

    I agree looks like it possibly could be a first stage kirk stemmed. Very nice point...........GTP
