Those are damn nice! He must keep them laying in his flower bed for easy retrieval to show! I bet ya you could get them for cheap, cuz it doesnt look like he is interested in taking care of them. But then when a farmer says "daughter", he plans on keeping them! Good Luck!

Neo, the pictures I have seen, show a split branch like a Y. Make sure the upper arms are long enuff to bring them back over the top and wrap around the axehead. bring them down to the shaft and wrapped with sinew....goat

While I do not dispute this, I do think that this is a weaker hafting technique. From what I have seen they would use a flexible branch that was long enough to form a handle and wrap around the axe and then back down. So the handle has the bottom and top portion of that stick and both meeting at the butt end. Then it is meticulously wrapped with Sinew from the neck down or from the butt up to the axe. The branch locks the axe in place after the Sinew is wrapped to tighten it...................................Hope this helps Neo.................GTP
