White Patina continued - closeup photo

I took some close-up photos of the flake (that I had posted earlier) that has the heavy white patina. The white patina appears to be "growing" as it degrades the stone...

Fantastic pictures!! So the theory is cause it is clear like glass,, and because of it's clarity it is getting uv damage like an old bottle. The white area is becoming porous and breaking down? I forget what you all said. Anyways your macro's rock !
