    6/25 Creek Hunt

Today was a great day for some creek hunting. Mid 70's, water down, perfect conditions. I found a pretty good celt, a translucent chalcedony point, sweet triangle, and some other points, tools, and worked pieces of hardstone. Thanks for stopping by, HH

Appreciate the comments and kind words.

NG, I usually just hold the camera at a low angle and take a picture.

Ohioaxeman, I agree, the middle third of the celt has two slight grooves and a slight depression.

I am really liking that angle. Makes them stand out like a boulder and gives the perspective of what the point has been seeing for a couple 1000 years !! lol. You have been tearing it up this year 37.What do you call them ,,madisons, guntersville or hamiltons or?? I like them. We got a jacks reef pentagonal the other day. U ever see those?
    Nice hunt great post

That low angle shot really does make them look huge. I would say the triangle is either a Madison or Caraway imo. I've found a few JR Pentagonals on a couple different spots I hunt. I really like the type, they're well flaked and unique, the JR corner notched are more common here than the Pentagonals. Appreciate the kind words and comments, have a good one.
