My PA Collection from '09, '10 and '11
While waiting for some rain, I spent some time over the last few weeks organizing my finds from the last two years. All but 4-5 are personal finds.

Nice looking collection Hutch. I'm sure that represents hundreds of hours in the field - unless you have some very good fields

Great looking collection Hutch. I'm sure there are a lot of hours and miles involved in finding those pieces.
Thanks for taking the time to share them with us.

That is some collection. Nice variety of artifact types, as well as time periods.
I see you have a nice grouping of quartz points. Are they from western PA? I thought that quartz commonly is found only in the eastern part of the state.

Looks like you got a little of everything. Keep up the good work Hutch and soon you'll have an artifact room, then a museum!

Artorius, good eye! Re: the quartz, you are partially correct. They are very rare where I search today, though I have picked up about a dozen and quite a few brokes. But then again, I have quite a few examples of other materials that would have required long-distance travel as well. Back to the quartz, there is a particular area in Venango County where they are quite common. Better than half the quartz you see in the pic came from that spot.
