I am not the bravest, but yet I am fearless. I am not the wisest, but yet not a fool. I am not the strongest in body, yet stronger in heart. I am the Running Horse, riding proud and free.
Re: Please Help??
Awesome find, Trev!
I'm my opinion, that's Boyle's chert, but I'm no expert!

It doesn't look like root beer flint to me. I just looked at a bazillion pics of it and I can't find anything like yours.

Re: Please Help??
Trev, that looks like Boyle Chert to me, not the Root Beer Flint you are talking about from Texas. Boyle Chert is found in southern Ohio all the time and I have many pieces made from it. Your point looks good to me.

Re: Please Help??
if it proves to be staged and you stop going there they have got what they wanted i would go more often maybe take some good friends track it up good. maybe just after ever rain for a while.. just mark the artifacts so you will know they came from there, mainly the exter nice ones like this one. Trev!! keep going till you get the word on this point shame to let this miss out on some more of those type points if real. Terry
