    Tuesday Hunt

I looked today in three fields for 51/2 hours. These fields had a lot of rain on them Saturday. While I was pleased to find these, I was expecting to find more. One of the fields I looked was a small field adjacent to a field that cotton was no-tilled into a winter wheat. This field had been turned and because of the drought had not been planted. I just discovered it today. I did not find a whole point in it but found a lot of flakes, some broken points, and seven hammerstones. I have never seen so many hammerstones in a field so small. These came from the other two fields.

    This one is nice!

This one was a real heartbreaker.

    These were heartbreakers also.

Did you get any rain this lately? I got 5.1"s last weekend and 3.4"s so far this weekend. But, I don't have anywhere to look so it doesn't help me much. I'm happy for the farmers though, they really need it.

I got .9 inches Thursday and 3.3 inches Friday and Saturday. Places in the county received a lot less than that. One of the fields I looked Saturday was a field that had been planted in corn. It was dry land and because of the drought had been harrowed up. I looked at the rain gage at the field and it had 1.3 inches of rain on it. That would have been all the rain that fell in a long time.
