Re: Interesting Stuff
Those are all natural rocks guy. I don't see a piece in there that I believe is a man-made artifact. Sorry.

The artifacts shown are clearly man made and if you look closely these most of theseblades are snapped at the base. Wow, I am sorry, but this is way cool. It's nano flint.

Look, I don't mean to be a hard-ass. I'm not great with words and am really not good at sugar-coating, but your items are truly natural. There are no conchoidal fracturing scars from any sort of flaking on them and the flat "base" means absolutely nothing, that was caused from when they came off of their natural concretion / formations. I really do encourage you to take up knapping (everyone should) so you can learn the principals involved. Every single one of us went through a stage to learn how to differentiate intentional knapping from incidental / natural scarring and weathering.
If you don't agree with me now, that's fine, I can live with that. But someday you will. They are rocks, kewl ones....but they don't appear to be artifacts.

Re: Interesting Stuff
I see bladelets and tool tips. Yes he has posted a bunch of regular rocks in the mix too. I'll have to go back through my Ohio Arch Mags, but I believe there was an article about somebody finding dozens upon dozens of micro bladelets in a small area of a field. Quartz is extremely hard and I know the triangle is execedingly rare to non existant in nature., what are the odds if they are natural?

Re: Interesting Stuff
Here are a couple of more. The tools/points in the large frame are all or have an element of a triangular cross section. The point above the penny has been brought to a needle sharp point. The three pictured together are made from a sugar quartz and appear to have emerald in the matrix, as there is some translucent green in the matrix. The triangular sugar quartz piece is almost a three dimentional equalateral triangle, and definately a worked piece.
It is difficult to see the flaking, splitting as this is how these quartz crystal pieces have been worked, and or grinding in these scans. Some of these tools are a whole piece of or combintion of quartz crystal structure, all clearly worked when examined close at hand. I will post a video as soon as I can do it. I have a lot more stuff.

Re: Interesting Stuff
That knife is out of the same stream I am finding a lot of other stuff... The double ended quartzite knife is interesting. This rose crystal quartz point demonstrates the spliting inherent in these tools.

Re: Interesting Stuff
Sorry but I have to agree with Neanderthal those are just rocks, just because it is shaped like a artifact dont mean its a artifact.

Re: Interesting Stuff
Here are a couple more. The one second from left is a split quartz crystal and the one under the penny another triagular in all directions, neeedle pointed, all three edges are very sharp.. The point to the far right is also a triangle cross section and needle pointed. This pattern does not happen like this naturally in similar, varied but repeated patterns. I know of no natural structure that fractures consistantly in a uniform pattern like these...These are flip sides or other side views.

Re: Interesting Stuff
More rocks?
These scans donot reflect these properly so I can see why the misconception on the part of some here but the best I can do for now. Found the two quartzite knives in my yard. Found the hard sandstone ax, drill with spokeshave and knife/spear in a rainwashed gully at about the three foot depth all lined up in a row end to end each separated by a few inches...
