    Sandy Hill Site finds 2011

    Some more pics. of this Spring's finds. Of interest is the drill or drill preform
    in the last 3 pics. my friend found it and gave it to me. one of my favorite
    finds of this year.

    Oops picture 3 was supposed to be this Ashtabula. Picture 4 is the side view
    where it was resharpened at about a 90 degree angle---neat little point.

    Is there any polish on the ends of the piece you refer to as a Drill? It looks to me like a Flint Chisel and not a Drill.

    Nope...Does'nt have any polish. Just kind of roughly shaped and discarded perhaps.
