    Re: virtual hunt

That sure is a heartbreaker, that side notch point in the last photo sure took a bad break. Is that grey colored piece of stone just to the right of center in the first photo a piece of a sand stone abraider look's like I can almost see a groove on it ? Thank's for the dirt pictures I alway's enjoy looking at them.

    thanks tommy
i think it might be an abrader

thanks steve for an enjoyable romp thru your field...this is what I saw 1429...saw the abrader and what looks like an awl to the left and slightly lower
    1433...a bone bead
    1435...rib bone handle?
    and 1436...a piece of pottery
Now these are all guesses but there are a lot of pieces that I would have picked up and looked at

    Re: virtual hunt

yes goat, i know what you mean
i can't see the awl or the bone bead but you sure could be correct
when i am on the tractor i am forever stopping to look at things like that all the time
most of the time it is a false alarm
the piece of rib bone that appears to be a bone knife handle is one of the things that consistently fools me
now you are right about the pottery, there are a lot of shards in those pictures
    thanks for looking
