New Field Hunt

This afternoon I went to a field that I picked up this spring. When I picked it up it was already planted in watermelons and was not "lookable." They have put in seed beds and it had had a lot of rain on it. I was especially pleased to find the bird point and the bolen.

I found a few of those type bird points at Lake Blackshear after the flood of 94 when the dam broke. There were artifacts by the bucket loads coming from that area. I wish that water would get that low again (Without a flood of course) Nice points!

Looks like a Bolen....some examples have "E" notches which yours appears to have. Nice find on an early point. Early Archaic.
