Those two tray's are great, I really like the bone artifacts, the bottom tray sure has some real nice point's in it, I like that blade in the center of the bottom tray. Those are two nice trays you have had a good summer for sure. Those antler tip points are great.

Re: two good frames from this summer
I noticed alot of the points are "jaw notched",the brownish point just below the blade to the right is KILLER nice, real good lines and a fantastic form.

Re: two good frames from this summer
thanks for all of the kind comments
these two frames full of stuff were found by one of my best friends this summer and a few of the pieces were found last summer
he is the person responsible for teaching me a good share of what i know about artifact collecting and surface hunting
in addition, he seems to have a special ability at finding game pieces, he makes me look silly when it comes to finding game pieces
WVsifter, i have always wondered why the jaw notched points are consistently of a higher quality and made very nice when compared to the regular prairie side notch points
i don't know if i will ever figure it out.....any thoughts on this subject??

Re: two good frames from this summer
Maybe it was an advanced form of arrowhead to be made ,hence..it would require a more skilled knapper to turn out,as im sure all of the different type's required a certain skill level whether it be high, intermediate,to novice or just plain out young and learning.Or it could be from a certain tribe or a more evolved tribe(knapping wise) Just a couple thoughts...
