    Artifacts froms years ago.

It's been along time since these points seen the light of day. I was going through some old boxes and found this frame of points, and other items. This was from one season of hunting. I have more just not sure what boxes there in.

Okay when I first read the title of this post I thought, "aren't all artifacts from years ago?" But that was just the smarty pants in me LOL

Nice assortment of finds! Do you still hunt?

i get to go out a couple times in the spring I dont find to much I had friends that kept me focused and informed on local fields when they get plowed or disk. they either quit or passed away. Now It's just luck if I drive by a field. Kids tend to put things on the back burner. Some of the finds like the shell with the hole and polished rock were found digging fire pits.

How far down do you have to dig when you dig a fire pit. I've come across a couple and I've always wondered. Of course, I doubt I have the gumption to dig that much but I'm still curious.

I cant speek for others but my pits were about 3 feet down 4 across. I think sifting the dirt is the hard part.

I get into endless amounts of fire pits under rockshelters anywhere from usually 2 to 4 feet down, they are a pain in the *ss to dig around ,but i always find points in and around them! Yes I have had to displace some fire pit rockage here and there but it pays to dig fire pits thats 4sure.
