    skinning knife?

    I don't know a lot about Indian artifacts, but I was wondering if this was a skinning knife? I found it when I was a kid. Thanks for looking.

    Looks like a scraper.... used to get the fat off hides, mostly...

    Good find, and definitely been worked.

    I agree I don't think it is a knife, it's a scraper a very nice one. Nice looking material it is made from.

    That's some nice material. I think I'd go back to where it was found if possible, and see what else maybe there.

    Definitely a scraper-a knife would be more in the shape of an arrowhead.
