    celt ax? recent finds

Hey tnet. These are a couple sod field finds and beach finds. Nothing special really. Lots of quartz. Did find this hand ax celt chopper? You tell me what you would call it. Its pecked with a flaked bit and 2 small areas wth natural cortex still showing. Also a grinder polished into smooth ball with pits on opposite ends and a couple net weights. Thanks for checkin it out let me know what you think. Been kinda slow on here with new posts last couple days.

I would say that you have a chipped celt. The eared quartz point is striking - from the photo, it has some "hardaway-like" characterisitics.

    Nice finds!

Thanks artorious. I have been calling it a celt so Ill stick with that. I do like that little eared point and it definetly makes me think Hardaway like. Thanks for checking them out.
