    material types

    i took these pictures from a library display
    they show the more common and prolific types of material used in the dakotas
    as you will see the KRF (knife river flint) is used quite a bit
    also the gray material we call TRSS and the correct spelling

    Very helpful. Being a rock hound I am always interested in the types of material that was used in the different parts of the country.
