    a can full of things

found this this can on one of my tractors a few days ago
i found it contains some pieces of old burnt lodge posts, pottery, one nice scraper, broke blade, etc
some of the pottery rim shards have designs that are not typical
completely forgot it was even there until i was getting the tractor ready to move from the field for winter

Re: a can full of things

Nice can of goodie's it's alway's great to find something you forgot you had stashed away . My grandad used to keep a can on his tractor for the same use. I remember you could find all sorts of things in the old can. Old lead bullets, rusty square nails, rusty horse shoe nails, pieces of broken glass and pieces of old broken dishes, nuts and bolts. I remember he even found a old really beat up Spanish brass helmet one time that I guess was lost when the Spainards came through here and of coarse atrifact;s he had picked up. I haven't thought about that in yrs. until I saw you can of goodies from the tractor.

unrelated to the post... but I have a friend who bought a almost nice, well made seven inch Pickwick from a farmer who kept it in the tool box on his tractor. The regular nicks and dings from bouncing around for ten plus years. ten dollars and a half pack of cigarettes bought it.
