    Discoidal?

    I found the discoidal on the left this spring. The right ? piece a couple weeks ago. Made of the same material.

    Are the sides polished flat? A lot of time they would bring in those naturally round stones like that but never actually work them. I find trhem all the time in my area. Yours does have potential though, but I need some side views.

    Here is a pic of the edge. The second pic is a broken piece I found Sunday, which is what made me wonder about the round rock.

    I went to the Southern Ohio Museum in Portsmouth today. They had some really great pottery. Along with other artifacts from the area which are Ft. Ancient, Hopewel/Adena. I also found a discoidal almost identical this one posted!! I also found the answer to another artifact? It was a great learning experince. Thanks for viewing!!!
