Is this an American Indian artifact??

I found this at a lake that is down. It was wedged between two boulders. I assumed it was just a hammered cuff bracelet and tried to polish it up a little. Nothing had any effect on it. Then someone on my post said it might be an artifact and that I didn't want to ruin it. I have no idea! What do you think? I scratched it when I was digging it out and it looks like either brass or copper. A magnet doesn't stick to it. Thanks for the help!

I have no clue about it..But it's a cool piece for sure and congrats on finding it! It might be a banner find!

Not Sure but if it is you do "not" want to clean it at all for sure. You could check with the Curator at a local Museum. Good Liuck. Let us know the outcome ok. PEACE:RONB
