OMG It's Sooo Tiny

Well, I made it back out to the field again today. All the searching & walking was wearing me down and the sun was slowly sinking in the western sky when I saw this. I nearly fainted, it was OMG, OMG, I can't believe this. I sank to my knees and tears started flowing. All these years of finding artifacts on our property, this was a first for me...one soooo tiny. I looked at it on the ground for the longest time, thinking of some Indian brave knapping these tiny point out of a rock. How difficult it had to of been. When I snapped out of my stance, I started with the pics & texting everyone. Since I didn't have anything to measure with, I used my thumbnail to show it tininess. This is my pride & joy!! I do feel the spirits of the Indians around me while I'm out there, but riding in even the sunset had a special greeting to show me.

nice photos and that tiny little point a true arrowhead, that some people call birdpoints or war points. it needs its own place it well loose the battle if put in with its bigger cousins the dart points and spear heads. i did not think you would put it there but we do some strange things when we are exsited.. that thumb nail is a great sizing tool and allways handy. now that you have found one the next ten should be easy that is what some say i hope they are right about you and tiny little points. Nice. What a way to end the day! Contrary to common belief a typical arrow shot from a bow would go clean through a deer or anything else if it hit body cavity. It was only if it hit boney mass like in an arm or leg would it not. The average bow in historic times had upwards of 65lbs of pull required to use. That sets the projectile off with quite a thrust making the smallest arrowhead quite lethal.

Thanks for the comments. I'm still in a state of shock. Getting ready to head back out there, Mia!! Pics do no justice to this tiny beauty. I have it inside a qtr size coin holder right now for safe keeping. No, it will not be displayed with others, just need to find the right size riker case.
