    Camp Stuff

Howdy flinty ones !! After several years of digging 'round the state I noticed a lot of similiar stuff that shows up now and again on long term habitation areas. Just like us, I think the natives brought stuff home 'cause it was cool.
Aside from some impact marks, I'm not exactly sure what the heck they were used for. Some are smoothened flat. Too soft a stone to use for much. I always thought the tubular stones could have been weights used on their throw sticks, but those pancake ones still have me thinking.

I think you're right, i too find those kind of stones at all my creek side digs. Of coarse stones like that would have many uses, but people and especially kids will always be bringing stuff back to the camp just because they are neat looking. Happy Diggin.
