Nice stuff guys! Soon I will be able to post something of color for you. I had my hands on a nice 6" Hardin from southern IL. today, but didn't have my camera. I will see it again tomorrow and I'll get a pic. for all of you and post it when I can.

Go find some artifacts! Wait............What's this red button do?
those are nice, i love looking at points from other areas. i only collect from florida and we have a rainbow of colors. the coral can be just about any color when heat treated, same with the cherts. in the archaic periods they started "cooking" the material to make it more workable and the natural oils in the fossilized coral or chert would change the colors
heres a thonosassa pointfrom the early archaic peroid(7000-5500 BC) . you can see the fossilized shell in the one on the left
OK....now I am officially ILL................Those are fabulous. I am always hesitant to purchase obsidian points due to the amount of fake ones. I just cant tell the difference and you don't find obsidian in any quantity in Louisiana, but those are nice specimens and look quite genuine to me. You have indeed been busy. Yep, I'll take if you are giving.....LOL.
Here are a few of my colorful ones. I am slowly figuring out how to work my little sisters digital camera. So bear with me.
Finally some pics for you instead of stories. All are surface finds.
Thanks
