rare as hen's teeth in these parts
found this a while back walking the riverbed during dry season, made out of soapstone. Hunted for 40+ years and this is my first!
I close my eyes, only for a moment and the moments gone......

Hey thats pretty cool,,was it longer? Wonder what they were smokin? Can you smell the ash in it?
My tastes have changed as I`ve gotten older,,,Like I never really like spankings when I was younger. Oh yeah, go ahead and piss me off,,I need another felony conviction (Helmet stickers.) To love without fear and to be loved without guilt,,,my wish for us all..

not sure but don't think so, it is small. When I first spotted it I walked by it a couple times thinking it was a stick. Whatever they were smoking in it, it was only a few puffs worth at a time.

LOL,,maybe a few puffs is all that was needed back in the day! It`s a cool one hitter anyway I do not partake,,,,,anymore, but I think they did, thats where visions and prophecies came from.

Very nice...and yes very hard to come by in New England...I wonder if the steatite originated from the RI quarries?

I've been a collector for 40+ years now, as I'm in my mid 50's and I still get an adrenaline rush when I find something, pondering how many thousands of years its been since another human made and used the artifact! I have much more and will post in the coming weeks.
