There is a conical shaped mound a few miles from my house. It also has a low flat topped smaller mound several yards away from it. Could it be burial mound? There is a large creek about a half mile away with several small streams that run around the ground where the mounds are. I have never seen one shaped like the larger mound, it looks like an upside down suger cone. there is also a small bluff running along the north side of the larger mound and it is in the middle of a densly wooded area. Some one logged around it but the mound is on private propery and has always been respected. I permission to surface hunt and creek walk the area.I have not gotten up the nerve to go back there by my self, my horse spooks back there.Any way I find broken points and a bison shape that is on my signature as well as other small stuff that runs in the creek along our house. Has anyone seen a mound with shape before?
