    Looking in the woods ?

Found a good spot to look at in the woods, it was once farm land and stuff has been found there and I found some stuff myself.
I cant figure out how to look without having to dig every inch of ground, thought about poking a stick in the ground to see if Id hit anything but theres a lot of stone in the area.
Any good ideas on how you go about looking in wooded areas ?

i have found arrowheads in the woods,i look for higher areas where some erosion could be and around large trees where roots can push things up.around streams running through also.

Look for a good campsite near running water.
I go a great distance, while some are considering whether they will start today or tomorrow

I sometimes use a plastic leaf rake to clear debris. As far as digging,a regular shovel.just lay a square out and dig down about 6 to 8 inches.makes it easier to have a homemade sifter box.Anyways good luck...

Thats how I found some of the stuff, they pulled up some trees and the roots lifted it out of the ground.
