    Few more stones

    Morning,

Still finding a few small grinding stones. In this grouping is something of a heartbreaker, half a full grooved axe.
Something of an oddity, that one....as its made of petrified wood. Normally axes, through rare here, are made from some type of hardstone. Petrified wood is normally to soft and chalky to work into a polished stone tool such as an axe. Exception being palm wood, which is well agatized.

I liked the round dark stone....polished to a degree, I wonder what they used it for...grinding, pounding, foot warmer on a cold winter night?

    Happy Hunting,

I would be happy with even half of one-
