    You'll be hearing from me

Hi folks, with two feet of snow on the ground, and my flame thrower in the shop.I guess my hunting is over. It,s time to set back and gather my thoughts.Look out this may take awhile as my thoughts really hate being gathered.Since my last official find in december I have had time to clean up some of my fire damaged collection.I know some say to not clean up stuff. But it had to be done. These are mine. Most of the tools survived the cookout.THe points on the other hand were toast.Black and brittle.......ouch.It took me a few years to even look at them. With that being done its time to jabber at you guys.I have found two untouched sites this last year. Both seem to be loaded one has produced 25 points so far. They are aways apart on two different waterways.Am really excited about the possibilities of what may be there.ALso I live about 5 miles from Sebasticook lake which is the home of north americas oldest fish weir.YOu can still see the poles sticking out when they let the lake drain in the fall. Some of the poles have been carbon dated at 5,800 years old.Believe it or not you can still walk up and touch them. The weir had great signifigance as other poles were dated at 3,200 years. This meant with the potential of catching thousands of pounds of fish maybe some of their wandering for food was over.Which was great for them and not to darned bad for me if you know what I mean.I have found a few large tips there but a fellow can only be a few places at once....My biggest tip for artifact hunting is you got to hold your head right(down)........

Very intresting about the fishing, we find stone dams in our local river, that the indians used to trap fish.
