Anyone out there from Maine

Just trying to find someone from this neck of the woods.Would like to see more artifacts from the area.Does anyone know of any sites that show artifacts more geografically.Thanks theres just way to much snow.ITs driving me crazy.........

Hi, what county do you hunt in ? I have an old book called Archeology Of Maine , 1922 . It has a lot of maps in it showing indian villiages , camps , fire pits , shellheaps , etc. It's mostly about the Red Paint People .

jbl , I'm guessing you might be from Bradford ? Is that your zip - 04410 . If so here's a map . The Teepee figures represent Indian camps . The crossed sticks w/a circle represent Red Paint People burial sites .

Thanx Mojjax,NO actually my area code is 04401.That 04410 came from a brain to hand glitch when I was coming up with my screen name.I'm lucky to be able to turn this baby on.If it werent for my kids I wouldnt be conversing with anyone.....So anyway thanx for the info.Those old maps may become valuable to me as I can already vouch for some of their accuracy.I live in Hermon,Me which puts me right in the thick of things.Some of my finds are coming from the areas shown on that map.Will be looking that book up.Later days
