Making Memories with my Grandkids
Took my three oldest Grandkids out today, The weather was beautiful, & warm in Western AR.
We hunted fossils, (posted on fossils), Indian Artifacts, visited an old spring used by Indians & pioneers, and myself in the i960's when we worked in the logging profession, we filled our jug every day.
We stopped at a mountain creek, had a picnic, saw a giant oak tree,
one of the largest in AR, old slave cabin was there years ago, old well is all thats left,(has rocks & plow on top) , found flint chips, two tips,& one little bird point, my Grandaughter was the first to touch it in probably 5 to 6 thousand years, saw old cabin, (built in 30's)
cow skull, & made some wonderful memories.
ridge is located on banks of the river where indian camp was.

Way to Go !!!!
We need to get kids interested in something while they're young. Spending quality time is sooooo important. Too soon they turn into teenagers.
Looks like a great day. I wish we had trees that big here, what a great place to explore. They'll be telling THEIR kids.

Re: Making Memories with my Grandkids
That is great Fossis! Your grandkids will remember times like that when they have grandkids. Those are very special times! Definitely frame that point for your grandaughter. She will treasure that forever just for the fact that she found it with her grandfather!
My daughter is almost 16, has a boyfriend, is involved in high school cheerleading, and attends modeling classes. Even with all of this going on, she asked me the other day when she and I were going to go "rock hunting" or fishing. That will definitely be a priority!
