My Texas site#1 Baked clay ceramics...

These are some of the clay pieces I have gotten from that site.. they seem to be baked top fired clay? I don't know what use they may have had? I think they were probably used in some type of ceremonial purpose? the big axe type artifact is very detailed and has binding or lashing marks at the base, and if you look close it looks like it was painted around the edge? the other pieces seem to be used as a cutting or scoring type tool notice the defined edge. the other circular piece that is custom fit to the hand might have been used for tanning, notice the wear on the bottom side? I have other nice pieces I will post but this thread is full.... I thank you for any time...

Re: My Texas site#1 Baked clay ceramics...

This is a few more pieces of ceramics I have found there, the few that have looked at these seem to think they have some characteristics of being middle fire clay.. for what purposes they were used for I or they do not know, I just thought it strange I have never seen anything like these ceramics in any of my other places or Beach's I have ever looked.. I have some shards of this type of clay that was complete objects at one time..I have others I will be posting that are even stranger and have Jasper & Chert pieces that are made the same as these clay ones.. Thanks Mike
