My arrowheads from about 30 years ago..(updated on 3/21/07)

I put a display case together about 30 years ago and I finally decided to put them in a new case so I can show them better. It's smaller and they are a bit crowded but here they are. Some aren't that good but I guess they meant something to me back then. HH to you all!!!

They look great to me! Nice collection. I'd say you should be very proud of those artifacts, and the display case. Nicely done, congratulations.

Re: My arrowheads from about 30 years ago

Thanks for all of the compliments. All of these were found in east Tennessee around the lakes, creeks, plowed gardens and in caves. In the second pic, the long triangle one on the right was found in a cave with the claw. I also found a bunch of mussel shell beads in that cave too. I don't know what animal the claw came from. I found them in a cave in Harriman, Tennessee. It is across the river from the old paper mill plant. I'm telling you this because that cave is a very good one just to explore. There's a place way back in there that you have to lay down in water and push everything in front of you just to get through. I went what I would guess to be close to a quarter of a mile back in there. I know there must be another entrance ahead from what I found in there but I never did get to go all the way to the other end of it. I stopped for a couple of minutes back there and turned out all of my lights and just sit there. I learned what they meant by "silence is deafening"... Most of you probably won't understand it but... The silence was so loud that it hurt my ears, lol!!!... It is an awesome thing to just sit there alone and listen...I also found a human jaw bone and pieces of a skull and other bones that looked like they had been chewed on by rodents. The teeth on the jaw bone were worn flat as could be. I left all of the bones and teeth out of respect for my Cherokee Indian ancestors. One of my ancestors took in a teenage male Cherokee Indian during the Trail Of Tears and nursed him back to health. He had been left to die. He decided to stay with the family and ended up marrying one of the daughters. He took on the last name of the family and that name was Solomon. I have 1/8 Cherokee Indian blood in me I guess. Could be 1/16 though. It's hard to trace back and get all of the names and dates. I'll post a couple of pics for you to look at if I can get the on here. Thanks again, DANGLANGLEY

My wife says the man in the second pic is a dead ringer for me. I say he looks just like my older brother, lol!!!... His wife looks just like my oldest sister.
