3/31/2007 Insitu's Field that Never Fails.
Hey guys, we had some rain up in the field. So I decided to hit it. I'll tell you what. I thought the field had me beat today. I walked for 2 hours and nothing except brokens and that big scraper. I thought I was going to have to change the name to The Field That Rarely Fails... Anyway I had given up and started walking back to the car when I found that first little beauty. I love the pink coloration on it. My wife swears up and down that those were "Girl Points". Not 10 minutes later I found the other little point. So once again the field lives up to it's name. That big scraper is a really interesting piece. Both of the ends have been worked down and have a really smooth polish on it. I was thinking maybe it was a hide scraper? not sure. anyway, thanks for the look! P.s In the last picture of broken ones look at the old broken pocket knife handle I found... apparently I'm not the only person in history to know about this field!!!! P.P.S Both points have really great patina on them.
I'm done now.

Johnny,
Nice finds. Arrow heads remind me of my father. He was real good at finding them. If you put 100 people in a field and only one found an arrow head that would have been him. By the way the art of finding arrow heads is not genetically passed. I am absolutely no good at it.

Haha! Funny you should say that my friend. My Dad goes with me sometimes.. and that man could pick up every rock in the field and not 1 of them would be an artifact. Thanks for the post. Good luck and happy hunts.

You know what they say.... hit it and forget it!
Or in your case, hit it, let it rain, hit it again, repeat, find millions of arrowheads.
Soon we will have to hit up my place and find a bunch of worthless rocks!
btw
NICE

Those fields that never fails are really amazing. Time & time again, we wander out and always seems to find something. Don't you just love em!! Even after years, always something to be found.
You do have some amazing finds...there more!
