axe and points found over weekend

Hi ya all I found these over weekend between two mounds.I live across road ,from this site. I used to find stuff here when I was kid, but have found very little here in recent years. they plowed a field about 50 yards from mound ,I,ve never seen plowed before. I wasn,t 10 ft. into it when I found axe ! Ifound 7 points as well . I found a lot of pieces as well . It is raining hard now, hope to go back friday to look some more . T he adena point has been broke but is fluted on 1 side. the axe is not perfect but Ithink I, LL keep it lol 0hio river hunter

Nice grooved axe! They are few and far between in my area. Most of what I find are flint adzes and celts.

Thanks adena man you are not that far from me . I live right across river from maysville,ky. I don,t find many axe,s either. Ilove the bigger artifacts ,but since i hunt mostly plwed fiels in spring time ,I usually find only broken pcs. of that size ohio river hunter

Holy cow! That does look like a petrified apple! That is cool! I find weird stuff like that every now and then in my fields.

    Good luck!
