Finally got out, dug a few things.the one whole point middle left shovel got it broke it. mostly brokes and a few wore down blades.

[/quote Hey pick nice day! Tell me more about tour metod ,for hunting. I mostly surface hunt but I have plowed land to search. I,ve picked up on the creekhuntin deal online here with no sucess at all although i found some nice fossils and a snake. how big an area do you dig? How deep? love the diff colors ORH

zeawolf hey ive got 3, 5 gallon buckets full of flakes if you want some send me your address in a pm I'll send you a variety of colors its all flint ridge material.
Ohioriver.I just started to hunt this property fall of 06 my brother purchased.I found alot of stuff laying on the surface when i stopped finding stuff on the surface i figured theres alot more underground.I've dug 4 times in 4 different spots & have found something everytime,Usally artifacts lie 4" 6" deep at about 8" the ground turns into hard red clay,also all the stuff is from a heavy wooded area,I use a regular shovel a hand shovel a brush & a sifting screen i made of 1/2" mesh screen.oh & a sharp ax for roots.

Is that picture of your rock garden where you've thrown chips? Or is material laying around like that in that woods?
