Just found in the "sand dunes"

I was lucky enough to spot these two in a sand dune that is also known as a tobacco field. The plants are doing well enough - they must be hardy with a root going three feet deep! We have had minimal rain this spring/summer. We are now classified as severe drought. The soil is as loose as it was when the owner cultivated a few weeks ago. You're lucky to see any rocks much less arrowheads. I am going to have to wait until fall after the tobacco is cut and we get some good hard downpours. I am definitely glad to have found these two!

    Thanks for looking!

I forgot to put in that the Adena blade is 3.5 inches long. The other point is about 2 inches.

Those are nice ones. It can't stay dry forever, just hold on a little while longer.

Nice finds! Would the one in the top photo be classified as a Wabesa? See my new post of a similar looking point. At least to me they do.

Hey Jbot! Could you tell that I was a little frustrated with the weather?

Hopefully, we'll get some downpours soon. What part of Central KY are you from?

Nice points, I wish we could send you some of our
rain, I have never seen so much in my life, we can't even
mow our yards, it rains every day almost for three
    months.
If we had some plowed fields it would be great.

Hey Fossis! It finally rained - on the 4th of July! We were at a cookout and fireworks show when, you guessed it, a cloudburst came. It rained off and on all night and into the morning. No complaints here though! We needed it badly. My yard might go from brown to light green after this. My wife said "I already know what you're thinking about - that arrowhead field!"

    Good luck!
