    Cache of blades

I found this cache of blades all lying on top of each other in a field in South Georgia a few years ago. There may have been more but the field had been used for crops for around 100 years. I reckon I was lucky these were all still together. Thought you guys here would enjoy the pic. All the blades are between 4 and 5 inchesl long.

That's impressive. I wish I could find something like that.

    Re: Cache of blades

Nice cache! There's no telling how many could have been there. There is a guy here in Central KY who found a cache of Turkeytail's. There were about 130 of them. I think that he said most of them had been "killed". He said that they were broken right in half. He said there were mostly tails that were found. I don't know if he was able to match any up to make whole points.

    Good luck!

    Hey Scott!

I remember when you found those! I remember you hollering and I came running to the spot and helped uncover a few of them. I also remember there were remnants of a pot around the blanks. I also remember we were soaking wet, muddy, and grinning like mules eating briars! Man did it rain that day!

I've been back to the spot several times over the years since you found those, and haven't found another, so I think you got them all. I have found several points there...you should have seen the one Roy picked up there earlier this year! I took him there (his first time arrowhead hunting), and he found a killer for his first point. I've been hunting for years and never found one as big as the one he got from there. I think I still have a pic on file....here it is, and also here is a pic of some of the ones I've found from that spot over the years.
