    Grooved stone axe

This large grooved stone axe was given to me by my
    wifes Aunt.
It is from Scott CO Indiana.
Some of the wifes relatives were killed by 'Shawnee'
indians at The Pigeon Roost, several young people were
killed before a man held them off until help arrived.
There is a large monument at the site, I visited several
    years ago.

You're welcome Jeff, My wife's Grandmother held
grudges against Indians for many years after her family was
killed, later, her daughter moved to OK, where she was a
Missionary & house parent at an Indian Orphanage.
My Great-Grand parents migrated to AR , from Clifty KY, in
Western part of the state, I'me going to visit some day, & see
the old Cemetary where my folks are buried, & visit 'Mammoth
    Cave'.

Hey Jeff, I tell people 'Indian fighters' used to run
in my family, when they saw an Indian they would run.
seriously, I have driven through Somerset, & rode a Greyhound
through the 'Bluegrass country', but we never have enough time
    to really stop & explore.

Thanks Old Dog, I can't take credit for finding it,
but I like it just the same.

I find a little 'leeverite' too.
(For the benefit of those who don't know what 'leeverite is)
It means leave er rite where you find it.
