    Glass Points

I made these using the technique that was taught to me by an old Cherokee man. I used a deer antler and a hammer stone. I know they are not the best ever made, but I am still learning. The brown ones are made from the bottom of an old Clorox bottle, and the clear ones are made from a plate glass window from a storefront. Hope you enjoy them as much as I did makin' 'em.

They look pretty good. I taught myself to flintknapp on the same material (clorox bleach bottle bottoms are great) and made lots and lots of points like those... keep it up and you will start picking up on how to thin them better and how to get the flakes to go farther across the surface. Make sure you prepare the striking surface...it may seem like it doesn't matter right away but it will save you a lot of heart ache to learn it right away. Looking forward to seeing more of your creations!

Looks like you're off to a good start. I love seeing people embrace that art of flintknapping and keeping it alive.

Keep up the good work my friend.
And listen to cannonman. He knows a thing or two about flintknapping.

The ones I use are probably from the '30s or '40s. I found the bottoms in a dump from around that period in WV.
