More Texas Points
Here are some more points from Harris County found in the last few months, including a perfect perdiz, a long blade, a carrollton and a cool little black point that I can't identify.

Re: More Texas Points
Morning,
Nice collection of points you have there. I think your first point pictured is not a Perdiz. It appears more to be the type called Deadman's or a Bonham. Those appear topside as a Perdiz, but the square base is indicitave of another point type as a Perdiz has a very sharp pointed base normally.
There a point in NW LA that is often confused with a Perdiz ....ita called a Basset point. Good stuff!!
You have a great spot to look and it covers a wide time span as well.
Happy Hunting,
Atlantis

Re: More Texas Points
Ah, I think I'm going to go with Josh on this one. The first point looks more like a perdiz than a bonham or a basset. I'm not sure about the black one. I've checked A Field Guide To Stone Artifacts of Texas Indians and for your area it looks like it might be either a san patrice variant called a saint johns or a palmer. That's my two cents worth... and that's about all its worth Razor

Re: More Texas Points
Thanks for the comments everyone, Hey Razor, I think that birdpoint could be a bonham, I checked the overstreet guide and there is few bonhams that are very similar to mine. There are so many variations on some of these bird points, its hard to say for sure. I'm thinking that little black point might be a palmer or keithville. Thanks for the info, Atlantis, and Razor. Josh
