Riverbank 4: After the rain. AWESOME!!!

What a day!! Points and pieces everywhere! I have not heard of many folks finding axes in SC, but I found one yesterday. Signs of heavy use on it, too. Points, tools, a pottery pipe, and gaming pieces. Enjoy the pics and if anyone wants a closeup to help me id, please ask. Happy Hunting!!!

What a fantastic early Archaic site you have. Picture # 7 could be a Rowan or an Osceola-Greenbriar, # 9 looks like a Guilford-Yuma. Can`t see the last picture well, is it bone or ceramic?

Rege-PA it is made of the same sandy clay pottery the sherds of pottery I find here are made of. Here is a better pic...

Looks like a clay pipe, grit tempered pottery is later than some of those points, your site must be multi-component, and used over a great span of time. Keep us posted.

Those are awesome! That one point looks like the state of Michigan from an old map.
