I need help

I have found about 50 shards of early pottery a few pipe stems with carvings on them and lots of knapped material I found most on top of ground dug a little for pipe stems and I have no clue how to really try to finish this site any help please.

Any pics, Walt? I love pottery shards...so would love pictures. You're not saying if this find is located in a corn field, near a waterway, in a plowed field...a location will help. I'm making a suggestion, that I always find reliable in helping me find more stuff, to hunt immediately after a rain...the dirt settles around the artifact and the flint glistens...they sorta just pop out of the ground after a rain.

More people will pop in and offer suggestions.
