A nice day in the field

Here are a few pictures from my last trip. I got some pottery pieces and a nice triangle point. There are also some flakes, a little piece of heat-cracked rock, and some shells. Nothing spectacular but I like it all just fine.

Molly, I'm surprised how much pottery is turning up in this field. Only tiny bits, but they seem to be from different vessels. Interesting stuff!

Well keep all you find, you might be able to find a whole pot in peices. I was given a caddoan pot, in peices, I restored it. Enjoyable but tedious. I'll not find any wholes pot here in NC, for one, they are rare & I don't dig, I surface hunt.

Any day I get to walk in a good field is a nice day, nice work especially on the pottery(it can be hard to come by especially in fields).

Thanks all... I am really enjoying this spot and wish I was there now (&#@* work and responsibility!) We're getting some good rain, though, so maybe this weekend...

Beautiful pot, Molly. It must have been a lot of work to fix but it was sure worth it.
