I would like to show a fine example of a Kirk, it's made from Agatized Coral, it was found in GA.
This point is one of my favourites, beautiful material.
I experimented a little & floated it, framed it too, I think it looks neat, just thought I would share it with my friends.
I couldn't decide which pic, so I put both on, anyone want any tips on floating points, just ask, be glad to help.
Excellent! I am always amazed at how sharp something that old can be. Testing one out I actually got a small cut. The prehistoric are my favorites! You have a real gem there! Jim B
How did you do that? Those are some nice pics and an even nicer lookin point.
You always have good posts!!
Well its really simple...
I used the glue gun to glue a long darning needle to the back of the Kirk, took pics, then cloned out the pin, so as to get the floating effect.
I use Photostudio 5.5, you can download it free off CNet.
It's not difficult.
Thankyou Shawn, it is a pretty point.

Thankyou Jim, it's a purchased point, unfortunately there's no materials here in NC like that. If I found a point like that one, I would sure to be jiggin.
It's definetly a keeper.
Definitely a smoker Molly. The material looks very similar to our Carter Cave Flint that we find around southern Ohio. Do you know if the point is from my area?
"Welcome back my friends, to the show that never ends."
