Yes, found my first arrowhead!!
Well, me and my dad went to new jersey to hunt a cornfield after a big rain storm. We looked around the field for about an hour and were heading back to the van when my dad found a piece of a Thebes point. I got excited. Five minutes later my dad calls me to come over to him and sitting on the ground was a Marrow mountain point. By then i was jelious, he found all of the arrowheads there, and I started looking on the ground really carefully. We had to leave after that because it was getting late. The point is much more orange than the picture shows. Best part is there are over 100 other fiels in the area so i'll be busy hunting them. Any idea what the smooth rocks at the top of the picture and the rock with the 3 smooth chippingd on it are? Thanks
+++Dad's comment+++ Thanks for all the tips you've given Matt, we both appreciate it. I think I found a new hobby that I really like. It reminds me of fishing. Finding the arrowheads made me think, "WOW, you really can find these things". I find it so relaxing just walking around and scanning the territory.

Great find! I think the others except the broken base are naturally formed, can't wait to see what you find there next!
It's addicting, but it's pleasing!

Great start and congratulations to the both of ye!! The peice with the three chips off it is probably what is called a "core". Those were the platforms from which they were able to strike off blades to use as were for cutting, or to work further into points. The one smooth stone at top looks like part of a celt?
Good work all the way round.
